5 Must-read books for entrepreneurs

I’m trying to keep up the habit of reading a book for 30 minutes every day. My goal is to read something inspiring, thought-provoking and learn something new every single day before I start work. It can be someone’s biography, a business book, a TED talk.. Instead of checking Social Media first thing in the morning, I think it’s important we feed our mind with something positive that will put our mind in the right setting and believe me you’ll end up being more productive! Here’s a list of books I highly suggest you read while drinking your coffee/tea in the morning, let me know if you have any suggestions as I’m always looking for new books to read :)

Todd Henry – Louder than words

This book is one of my favorites, it provides you with concrete tools to sharpen your ‘voice’ and find your authenticity.

“At this point, you have two choices: you can either remain stagnant, using the same methods and skills to tackle the work that’s in front of you and continuing on your present course, or you can intentionally return to Discovery phase and challenge yourself to develop a new skill or means of expression. If you do the former, you are likely to begin a slow decline into mediocrity and misery. If you do the latter, you will be uncomfortable for a while, but you will continue growing.”

Gary Vaynerchuk – Crush It

Gary Vee is an incredible entrepreneur, he’s the king of content he knows how to hustle and he’s not afraid to say things like they are. He’s brutally honest and will encourage you to chase your passion NOW. Check out his other books: Jab Jab Jab Right Hook and Ask Gary Vee, I really enjoyed reading them.

“Live your passion. What does that mean, anyway? It means that when you get up for work every morning, every single morning, you are pumped because you get to talk about or work with or do the thing that interests you the most in the world. You don’t live for vacations because you don’t need a break from what you’re doing—working, playing, and relaxing are one and the same. You don’t even pay attention to how many hours you’re working because to you, it’s not really work. You’re making money, but you’d do whatever it is you’re doing for free.”

Simon Sinek – Start with WHY

His Ted talk has over 1800000 views on Youtube (check it out here) that’s how I discovered his book ‘Start With Why’. Simon Sinek approaches things differently and explains why great leaders inspire action.

“Regardless of WHAT we do in our lives, our WHY—our driving purpose, cause or belief—never changes.”

Lewis Howes – The School of Greatness

I’m a huge fan of Lewis’s podcast ‘The school of greatness’ so I was very excited to read this book! You won’t be disappointed, this book is a collection of amazing resources to take control over your life.

‘If you don’t have a vision that gets you out of bed in the morning, go back to sleep until you find one that does’

Jamal Edwards – Self Belief

Jamal is the founder of SBTV, a UK-based digital music discovery platform. In this amazing book ‘Self Belief’ Jamal takes us through the various stages of his life which led him to create SBTV, it has its own personal approach and I love the tone of the book, an easy read to inspire the youth generation!

‘If you want to play a game, go to where it’s played and find a way to get in. Things happen when you get in the game’
